With powerful control capability, the Yokogawa UT550 Digital Indicating Controller is an intelligent, micro-processor based, 1/4 DIN controller. The UT550 has an extra-large digital display that allows the indicated values to be read even at a distance. LEDs of 20mm height are used for process variable display. These 1/4 DIN controllers display five digits for higher resolution.

The UT550 controller features many standard functions which are necessary for various control applications. Some of these functions include the control function, control computation function, signal computation function, and more. These functions can be configured by using the keys on the front panel.

These 1/4 DIN controllers from Yokogawa have eight types of control strategies. In addition, the UT550 also have an overshoot suppressing function "SUPER", a hunting suppressing function "SUPER 2", and an auto-tuning function built in as standard. The UT550 digital indicating controller is suitable for a diverse range of applications, with position-proportional control model and heating / cooling control model also available.

Various communication functions are provided with the UT550 1/4 DIN controller. Communication is possible with personal computer, programmable logic controller, and other controllers.
